Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked ip6addr copy
Published Sep 1, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A702R 4.0.0-B20211108.1423 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via crafted ip6addr input. The sub_4162DC function in /boafrm/formFilter copies the ip6addr argument without verifying that it fits the destination buffer. Access to the authenticated router management interface is required, and successful exploitation can compromise data integrity and availability.
