Arbitrary file upload in Peter Westwood's Post By Email 1.0.4b and earlier allows remote attackers to write files via email attachments. The save_attachments function stores emailed attachments in WordPress upload storage without validating their file types. The direct consequence is an unauthenticated file write; code execution requires the server to execute the uploaded file.
