Account takeover via reusable profile CSRF token
Published Aug 31, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Koillection 1.6.0 through 1.6.18 allows remote attackers to change a victim's profile credentials. The /profile POST handler accepts a token copied into an attacker-controlled cross-origin form instead of enforcing a session-bound or same-origin token. The victim must be signed in and visit the malicious page; successful exploitation grants control of the victim's account.
