CVE-2025-9711

Root privilege escalation via command export options

Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026

Privilege escalation in Broadcom Brocade Fabric OS before 9.2.1c3 and 9.2.2 through 9.2.2b allows local users to gain root access. The export option in the seccertmgmt and seccryptocfg commands permits the escalation, but Broadcom has not disclosed the unsafe operation that crosses the privilege boundary. A valid low-privilege local account is required; successful exploitation grants full control of the switch operating system.
