Unauthenticated database read via unvalidated ID parameter
Published Aug 30, 2025 · Updated Aug 30, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Water Billing Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read database names via the ID parameter. The viewbill.php handler inserts the unvalidated ID value directly into an SQL query, allowing crafted input to alter the query structure. No login is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates database enumeration; write and service-interruption effects were not demonstrated.
