Author-level stored XSS via unsanitized SVG upload
Published Oct 6, 2025 · Updated Oct 6, 2025
Stored XSS in Brainstorm Force Ultimate Addons for Elementor before 2.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via SVG uploads. The XML-RPC wp.uploadFile path accepts base64 SVG data and persists the decoded content without sanitizing embedded script. An Author account can place the SVG at a public uploads URL; script execution requires a visitor to open the file in a browser.
