Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Oct 13, 2025 · Updated Oct 13, 2025
Stored XSS in The Plus Addons for Elementor before 6.3.16 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through SVG uploads. The plugin accepts SVG files from Author-level users without sanitizing embedded script content, then serves the files from the media uploads path. An Author account and a victim who opens the uploaded SVG URL are required; the script then executes in the victim's browser context.
