CVE-2025-9695Public exploit

Sensitive-data theft via task-affinity hijacking

Published Aug 30, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025

Task hijacking in ThinkYeah GalleryVault 4.5.0 through 4.5.2 allows local users to steal sensitive data through a malicious Android app. The AndroidManifest.xml leaves the default package-name task affinity in place, allowing a malicious activity with the same affinity to occupy the task root and appear when GalleryVault opens. Exploitation requires installation and use of a malicious app followed by opening GalleryVault; the false activity can phish entered data or permission grants.
