Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unchecked paths
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Khaled User Meta 3.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The postInsertUserProcess function sends a user-influenced file path to deletion logic without restricting it to an intended directory. Exploitation requires Subscriber-level access and interaction by another user; deleting wp-config.php can expose the installation flow and lead to code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
