Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized q parameter
Published Aug 30, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Advanced School Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries. The item_select route passes the q GET parameter into an SQL query without sanitization, allowing crafted SQL expressions to alter query execution. A valid application account is required; demonstrated payloads support database data extraction or modification and time-based service delay.
