Credential theft via default task affinity
Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025
Task hijacking in Voice Changer App 1.0 and 1.1.0 allows local users to display a phishing activity over the legitimate app. The manifest leaves taskAffinity at its package-name default, allowing a malicious app to join the victim's task stack and place its own activity at the root. A malicious app must be installed and opened before the victim app; later victim launches expose the phishing interface, enabling credential theft or deceptive permission grants.
