CVE-2025-9654Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via interpolated SSH arguments

Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Aug 29, 2025

Command injection in Aionda GmbH MCP SSH Agent 1.0.0 through 1.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute local commands. The runRemoteCommand, uploadFile, and downloadFile methods in server-simple.mjs interpolate MCP-supplied host, command, and path values into strings passed to child_process.exec, allowing shell metacharacters to escape the intended ssh or scp argument. Access to an MCP client that can invoke these tools is required; injected commands run locally with the MCP server process's privileges, rather than only on the configured SSH destination.
