Tracking-settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Analytics Reduce Bounce Rate 2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify Google Analytics settings. The unbounce_options function processes a settings-changing request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce tied to the administrator's session. Exploitation requires inducing a logged-in site administrator to submit the forged request; the reported consequence is limited to tracking-configuration integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
