Plugin-update manipulation via nonce-free pub_save requests
Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Plugin updates blocker 0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin update settings. The pub_save action handler processes enable-or-disable selections for plugin updates without correctly validating a WordPress nonce on the request. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow a crafted link or visit attacker-controlled content, after which selected plugin updates can be blocked or re-enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
