CVE-2025-9621Network attack vector

Comment synchronization via missing nonce validation

Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Oct 11, 2025

CSRF in WidgetPack Comment System 1.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger comment synchronization through a forged request. The wpcmt_request_handler function dispatches the wpcmt_sync action without valid nonce verification, accepting untrusted cross-site input. Exploitation requires a site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized comment synchronization.
