Authenticated database writes via missing authorization checks
Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Aug 29, 2025
Improper authorization in Xinhu RockOA 2.6.0 through 2.6.9 allows remote authenticated users to modify arbitrary database records. The publicsaveAjax method in /index.php checks only for a logged-in session, then accepts attacker-selected tables, record IDs, fields, and values without verifying permissions. Any low-privileged account can invoke administrator-only functions and create or alter records belonging to other users.
