Root credential disclosure via crackable firmware hash

Use of a default password in Cudy WR1200EA 2.3.7-20250113-121810 allows local users to recover the root credential. The firmware embeds the root account's MD5-crypt hash in /etc/shadow, where offline cracking reveals the default administrative password. Exploitation requires firmware access and password cracking; the recovered credential authenticates as root to exposed management services.
