Authenticated command execution via unsafe mac interpolation
Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Aug 28, 2025
OS command injection in the HTTP handler of LB-LINK BL-X26 1.2.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted mac value. The set_blacklist handler passes the mac field through bs_SetMacBlack, which concatenates it into a command executed by the system function. Administrator-session access is required, and injected commands run with the web service process's privileges, enabling router data access, modification, or service interruption.
