Unauthenticated configuration modification via missing web access controls
Published Oct 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 20, 2025
Missing authentication in ABB ALS-mini-s4 IP and ALS-mini-s8 IP firmware allows remote attackers to read and modify configuration parameters. The embedded web server applies no access control to configuration functions and accepts requests without authenticating the caller. Network reachability to a controller with serial number 2000 through 5166 is sufficient, exposing operational settings to unauthorized reading and alteration.
