Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Oct 11, 2025
Stored XSS in Extend Themes Colibri Page Builder 1.0.334 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The colibri_newsletter shortcode renders user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, so crafted attribute content is stored and emitted as executable markup. Contributor-level access is required to create the malicious page content; the script runs when a visitor opens the affected page.
