CVE-2025-9556Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unrestricted Jinja2 directives

Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Server-side template injection in LangChainGo 0.1.14 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through crafted prompts. The prompts Jinja2 renderer passes untrusted template text to Gonja, whose include, from, and extends directives resolve paths against the host filesystem without a restricted filesystem context. Reachability requires an application to place attacker-controlled prompt content in that renderer; successful exploitation discloses files readable by the application process.
