CVE-2025-9528Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated OS command execution via unvalidated command parameter

Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

OS command injection in Linksys E1700 firmware 1.0.0.4.003 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The systemCommand handler in mod_form.so passes the command parameter from POST /goform/systemCommand directly to the operating system without validation. Administrative HTTP Basic credentials, a valid session cookie, and an anti-CSRF token are shown in the public proof of concept, which starts a Telnet daemon that exposes a root shell.
