Authenticated process crashes via malformed port.cgi input
Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 14, 2025
Improper input validation in AXIS OS 6.50 through 12.6 allows remote authenticated users to crash VAPIX processes via port.cgi. The port.cgi endpoint accepts improperly validated input before processing it, but Axis has not disclosed the rejected type or parsing operation. A viewer-, operator-, or administrator-privileged service account is required; the bounded impact is a process crash that degrades device usability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
