Service crash via unbounded mac parameter copy
Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC1206 15.03.06.23 allows remote attackers to crash the router HTTP service via a crafted mac parameter. GetParentControlInfo passes the mac value to strcpy, which copies it into pc_info->mac_addr without checking the destination size. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and the published proof demonstrates a service interruption rather than code execution.
