CVE-2025-9495

Unauthenticated device control via client-side access enforcement

Published Sep 23, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025

Authentication bypass in Viessmann Vitogate 300 before 3.1.0.1 allows remote attackers to gain full device control via the web interface. The server relies on client-side HTML elements to hide the administration menu instead of enforcing authorization for protected functions. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access but no account and exposes administrative functions that can alter device configuration.
