Authenticated command execution via unsanitized JSON input
Published Sep 23, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025
OS command injection in Viessmann Vitogate 300 before 3.1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. At /cgi-bin/vitogate.cgi, form-0-2 processing interpolates an unsanitized JSON string into a format string passed to popen(). Exploitation requires high-privileged, adjacent-network access and grants command execution in the device context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
