CVE-2025-9429Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unencoded post content

Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 25, 2025

Stored XSS in the Post Handler in Mtons Mblog 3.0 through 3.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via post content. The /post/submit endpoint stores the content field without security checks, and post, editing, and admin views render it without output encoding. An account able to publish a post can persist markup that executes when another user, including an administrator, opens an affected view.
