Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG image upload
Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 25, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in oitcode Samarium 0.9.0 through 0.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript via SVG uploads. The Pages Image Handler at /cms/webpage/ accepts SVG image uploads without sanitizing executable content, so stored JavaScript runs when the image is rendered. Exploitation requires high-privilege CMS access and user interaction; the reported consequence is limited to browser-side data or actions.
