Authenticated server-side requests via unvalidated update URL
Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 25, 2025
Server-side request forgery in UTCMS 9 allows remote authenticated users to make server-originated requests through the Config Handler. The update.php endpoint processes attacker-controlled UPDATEURL as a destination, but public records omit the request API and exact missing validation. Administrative access is required, and exploitation can reach internal or otherwise restricted network resources from the server.
