Dangerous file upload via extension-only validation
Published Aug 24, 2025 · Updated Aug 24, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Vvveb 1.0.7.0 through 1.0.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to store dangerous files via files[]. system/traits/media.php checks the submitted filename extension but does not verify its MIME type, so a disallowed SVG payload passes under an allowed suffix. Low-privilege access to the media upload action is required; uploaded content reaches site storage and can inject active content into the application's origin.
