Stored XSS via unescaped Lottie block attributes
Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the Lottie block in ThemeHunk Vayu Blocks 1.3.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary scripts. The block's PHP renderer emits multiple attacker-controlled Lottie attributes without sufficient sanitization and context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script executes in the browser whenever a visitor opens the injected page, enabling page-context data access or modification.
