Authenticated command execution via url_0 injection
Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
OS command injection in Archer C7 and TL-WR841N firmware before 241108 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The Parental Control page incorporates the attacker-controlled url_0 parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Management authentication is required; internet reachability additionally requires remote administration, which TP-Link disables by default, and exploitation executes code on the router.
