Stored script execution via unsanitized prefecture settings
Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Welcart e-Commerce 2.11.20 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via settings. The System Settings prefecture text area under Country, Language, and Currency stores input without adequate sanitization, and affected code later renders it without output escaping. Editor-level access or higher is required, and exposure is limited to WordPress multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; viewing an injected page executes the stored script in that visitor's browser.
