Authenticated file disclosure via download path traversal
Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in SoftDiscover File Manager, Code Editor, and Backup by Managefy 1.4.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server files. The ajax_downloadfile() handler accepts an attacker-controlled file path without restricting the resolved pathname to the intended directory, then returns the referenced file. A logged-in account with Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the confirmed consequence is file disclosure, with no published integrity or availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
