CVE-2025-9336

System crash via AsIO3.sys stack overflow

Published Oct 13, 2025 · Updated Oct 13, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in AsIO3.sys in ASUS Armoury Crate before 6.3.4 allows local users to crash Windows via crafted input. AsIO3.sys mishandles manipulated input and overruns a stack buffer, but ASUS has not disclosed the affected entry point or copy operation. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access and no user interaction, and the published impact is a system crash rather than data access or modification.
