Information disclosure via JP2 out-of-bounds read
Published Sep 2, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
Out-of-bounds reading in Foxit PDF Reader 2025.1.0.27937 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose information via crafted JP2 files. The JP2 parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before reading beyond the end of an allocated object, exposing adjacent process memory. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; code execution requires chaining with another vulnerability.
