Stored script execution via unescaped notice subject
Published Aug 21, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Advanced School Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via noticeSubject. The addNotice handler stores noticeSubject without adequate sanitization, and allNotice renders the value without escaping it as text. Basic user privileges are required to submit the payload, and a different user must open the notice page before attacker-controlled code runs in that user's browser.
