Authenticated code execution via unchecked Type concatenation
Published Aug 21, 2025 · Updated Aug 21, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda i22 1.0.0.3(4687) allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted Type parameter. The formWeixinAuthInfoGet handler passes the user-controlled value to strcat without checking its length, overflowing the stack buffer s. Reaching the network management handler requires low-privilege access; successful exploitation can crash the access point or run code in its firmware context.
