Authenticated file upload via avatar image parameter
Published Aug 21, 2025 · Updated Aug 21, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in emlog Pro 2.5.0 through 2.5.18 allows remote authenticated users to store files through the avatar editor. The update_avatar action in /admin/blogger.php accepts the image argument, but the disclosure does not identify the handler or its missing validation. Administrative access is required, and a successful request places attacker-chosen content in the application's upload surface.
