Unauthenticated device reboot via EtherNet/IP storm traffic
Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in ArmorStart LT 2.002 and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot the device via EtherNet/IP storm traffic. Rockwell Automation has not disclosed which firmware routine or resource mishandles the Step Limits Storms input. Network access to EtherNet/IP is sufficient; the unexpected reboot drops the Link State Monitor for several seconds without reported data disclosure or modification.
