Controller reboot via limited storm traffic
Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Rockwell Automation ArmorStart LT 2.002 and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot the controller. The controller fails to bound traffic processed during Achilles Comprehensive limited storm conditions and reboots, dropping the Link State Monitor for several seconds. Network access without authentication is sufficient; the effect is a brief loss of controller communications rather than data disclosure or modification.
