Stored XSS via unneutralized account username
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in CodeAstro Ecommerce Website 1.0 allows remote attackers with customer accounts to execute script via the Username field. The account-editing handler in customer/my_account.php stores the attacker-controlled Username and renders it without neutralizing HTML or script markup. A customer account and victim interaction with the affected page are required, limiting the direct consequence to script execution in the victim's web session.
