Stored script execution via unsanitized Alias rendering
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Scada-LTS 2.7.8.0 through 2.7.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through maintenance_events.shtm. The endpoint stores the Alias field without adequate validation or sanitization, then renders the value in the interface and executes browser event-handler code. Access requires permission to create or edit maintenance events; execution occurs when affected data is viewed and can compromise the active session.
