Authenticated arbitrary file read via export path traversal
Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Slider Revolution 6.7.36 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files during ZIP export. The RevSliderSliderExport add_svg_to_zip() and add_images_videos_to_zip() functions add used_svg and used_images paths to export archives without restricting file type or source. Contributor-level slider editor access is required; exposed files include wp-config.php and its database credentials and cryptographic secrets.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
