Authenticated code execution via unchecked CSV upload
Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Kodezen LLC StoreEngine 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write executable files. The CSV import() handler sanitizes only the supplied filename, then moves the temporary file into a web-accessible uploads directory without validating its type or checking a capability. Subscriber-level access and an administrator-enabled CSV Import/Export add-on are required; an uploaded PHP file can execute code under the web server account.
