CVE-2025-9214

Network-setting modification via unauthenticated CUPS requests

Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025

Missing authentication in CUPS on Lenovo printer firmware allows remote attackers to read device data or change network settings. The CUPS service exposes limited device information and network-setting operations without authenticating the requester; Lenovo has not disclosed the affected request handlers. Reachability requires adjacent-network access to the printer, and the documented impact is limited to device-information disclosure and network-configuration changes.
