Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped post titles
Published Oct 3, 2025 · Updated Oct 3, 2025
Stored XSS in Meks Easy Maps 2.1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through crafted post titles. The PHP map helper passes the post title into marker data without adequate sanitization, and the OpenStreetMap script inserts it into popup content without output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser when the affected map is opened.
