Remote code execution via unsanitized plugin URI
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025
Command injection in FactoryTalk Optix 1.5.0 through 1.5.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via MQTT. The MQTT broker fails to sanitize a supplied URI before using it to load a remote Mosquitto plugin. Low privileges and active user interaction are required, and successful loading executes attacker-controlled plugin code in the product context.
