CVE-2025-9151Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated configuration overwrite via missing permission check

Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025

Improper authorization in LiuYuYang01 ThriveX-Blog 3.1.0 through 3.1.7 allows remote authenticated users to alter website settings. The /web_config/json/name/web endpoint invokes updateJsonValueByName for a supplied configuration object without checking whether the token's role has system permissions. Any account with a valid token, including an author barred from the setup page, can overwrite titles, URLs, metadata, and footer content.
