Authenticated command execution via Guest_ssid injection
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025
Command injection in Wavlink WL-NU516U1 M16U1_V240425 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands. In /cgi-bin/wireless.cgi, sub_4032E4 accepts the POST parameter Guest_ssid and passes it through sub_407504 into a string executed by system without neutralizing shell syntax. Access to the management interface with low privileges is required; injected commands run on the print-server appliance and can alter its files, processes, or operation.
